how to: DIY Foaming Hand Soap

Have you ever looked at the ingredient list on your hand soap? When I started my journey to living a healthier lifestyle, I didn’t think of anything other than food having an affect on my health. It turns out, what you put on your body has just as much impact as what you put in your body. It only takes 26 seconds for things you apply to your skin to get absorbed into your blood stream!

When I learned this, I immediately looked at my lotions, makeup, and soap. They all had a crazy long list of ingredients and I couldn’t pronounce most of them. I definitely didn’t want these toxins building up in my system and causing my body harm, so I set out to either find better versions I could buy, or things I could make.

Body lotion and soap are 2 of the easiest things you can make (look out for a post on my whipped coconut lotion soon)! In the video tutorial below, I’ll show you just how easy it is to make your own foaming hand soap using liquid castile soap, fractionated coconut oil, Young Living Thieves essential oil, aloe vera juice, and filtered water.

Avoid harmful chemicals in traditional hand soap by making your own out of safe and effective ingredients. It will not only clean your hands, but leave them feeling soft and moisturized!
